MARLOW, United Kingdom – January 5, 2009: Volvo Car UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Duncan Forrester to the role of Head of Public Relations. Duncan will report directly to Peter Rask, Volvo Car UK's new managing director.

Duncan will be heading up the Volvo press office as well as overseeing all event and sponsorship activities. Duncan will already be familiar to many from his time in the BMW press office. Having started with BMW in 1995, he moved into the press office in 2003 as BMW Media Relations Manager. More recently, he was the UK motor industry’s only New Media Public Relations Manager, looking after both BMW and MINI products.

On his appointment, Duncan said; “The experience I have gained over the last six years sets me up very well for the challenges ahead. It is clear that the industry faces many issues in the foreseeable future but with a clear purpose, great products and above all, great people, I believe that Volvo is well placed to weather the storm. I’m really looking forward to working alongside the excellent existing team to deliver industry-leading press and public relations.”

Kelly Day and Ellie Wright continue their roles in the press office. Kelly remains the point of contact for all press car bookings and event activity, while Ellie retains responsibility for all press releases, product information and photography.
