LIPPSTADT/ESSEN, December 1, 2008. The black Upgrade auxiliary stop light with a black design that Hella has developed for retrofitting to various Volkswagen models is a special means of customising the vehicle rear. With its completely black housing, it is integrated almost invisibly into the vehicle rear and only strikingly appears when the brake is applied. In contrast to the red standard stop light, the vehicle rear is given a significantly more sporty look by the Upgrade auxiliary stop light. It is suitable for retrofitting to the Volkswagen models Golf V, Golf V estate, Golf Plus, Passat B 6 estate and Tiguan.

The Upgrade auxiliary stop light with a black design has type approval for Europe, in accordance with ECE regulation and for the USA, in accordance with SAE standards. The stop lights do not have to be approved separately by technical test centres. Easily comprehensible installation instructions are included in the scope of supply. Installation in a specialist garage is still recommended, however. The Upgrade stop light is already available on the automotive aftermarket.
