WARE, UNITED KINGDOM – November 10, 2008: Jason Dawe, motoring journalist and broadcaster, has joined the management team at automotive learning specialists Ignition as Director, Development effective 1st November 2008.

“I’m delighted that Jason has joined the Ignition team”, commented Ignition Managing Director Rob Forsyth. “Jason is a unique individual. His enthusiasm is infectious, whilst his unceasingly positive attitude and character compliment our own corporate philosophy. Above all he’s very good at what he does; he’s got a great background in the automotive world and bags of experience; just like us. Together, we will be able to offer a wider range of services to customers, new and old.”

Before being launched into the world of TV and publishing, Jason worked in the motor industry for 16 years, 6 years of which were spent training manufacturers and dealers. Over the years Jason has provided strategic consultancy for a broad range of clients including Dell, Audi, Porsche, Ford, Toyota, Harley Davidson, Herman Miller, Mercedes Benz, Scania, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Lombard and Trader Media.

Jason Dawe said, “I’ve worked with the Ignition guys for some time and I understand how they tick. Put simply, they really deliver for their customers and for me that has tremendous appeal. I’m looking forward to bringing my automotive experience, from a sales, marketing and training perspective to the equation. There are specific area - such as cross-media video production and retail sales consultancy for example – in which I know I can offer immediate added value. I’ll be combining my journalistic career with my role at Ignition, so I’ll certainly have my hands full!”

This appointment comes after two important developments for the company. In September Ignition launched XPD8, their online proofing and asset management system which enables customers to proof their artwork, graphics files and support materials online from anywhere in the world. Whilst in October Ignition became a core member of The European Learning Industry Group (ELIG) which seeks to promote innovation in learning throughout Europe.
