DETROIT - October 17, 2008: General Motors reports that women are now driving sales of a new generation of family car, the crossover vehicle*. Female automakers are making sure the vehicles are equipped with extra safety features, storage and family-friendly accessories. The idea is to have the car manufacturer's ideal customer behind the wheel from start to finish.
