Who: GEICO and Naval Station Norfolk

What: GEICO is hosting its 9th Annual Military

Appreciation Day luncheon to recognize and thank local citizens serving in the military. All military members and their families are welcome to attend the event.

Where: Virginia Beach Conference Center

Members of the military are asked to RSVP by October 22 to Shaneda Simpkins at (757) 222-7908 or ssimpkins@geico.com. Seating is limited.

Of Special Interest: This year GEICO is teaming up with Naval Station Norfolk to surprise three military families with a live streaming video of their loved one overseas.

"We are reminded every day of the sacrifices military personnel make," said Joe Thomas, vice president of GEICOs Virginia Beach operations. "Words cannot express our gratitude, and this is our way of thanking the men and women of the military in our local community."
