MILTON KEYNES – October 9, 2008: Suzuki GB PLC is the first automaker to pledge support for the 2008 Tyre Safety Month Free tyre safety checks for drivers at participating dealers

Suzuki GB PLC is backing Tyre Safety Month, a nationwide tyre safety campaign organised by TyreSafe, the UK ’s leading tyre safety organisation. Now in its second year, and taking place throughout this month, the initiative is once again alerting motorists to the dangers of driving with incorrect tyre pressures.

Suzuki, based in Milton-Keynes, Buckinghamshire, is the first vehicle manufacturer to support the 2008 Tyre Safety Month, and between now and the end of October, free tyre safety checks are being offered to motorists at participating dealers in the automaker’s franchised network in the UK.

Commenting on Suzuki GB’s participation in the campaign, Denis Houston, Director of Aftersales explains: “As we approach the winter period, driving conditions on the road deteriorate, and therefore looking after your tyres becomes ever more important. Tyre Safety Month provides an ideal opportunity for us to reinforce the key message that tyres are a lifeline, and by undergoing a free safety check, this could make all the difference.”
