Supercar Spyker C8 LM85 heading for China

Shanghai, October 7, 2008 - (Gasgoo.com) Spyker, a Dutch manufacturer of luxury sports cars, will start to produce 24 limited units of the C8 Laviolette LM85. Only two units of the limited LM85 are expected to be introduced into China by this November, each priced at 5.09 million yuan ($743,065), Beijing News said yesterday.

The LM85 is a premium mid-engine, two-seat sports car. Named the C8 Laviolette LM85, the Dutch supercar features Audi's 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 400 horsepower, a 6-speed manual transmission, paint scheme from the GT2R race car, and an interior covered in black leather and alcantara.

Currently the model has been put into production in Dutch. Every LM85 is scheduled to have a limited name plate and a 24Hours Pilot watch provided by Chronoswiss with the production number on the surface of the watch.

Two units of the limited LM85 sports car will be introduced in the China market next month, selling at 5.09 million yuan each, and now they can be booked, Spyker China sources told the reporter.
