MILTON KEYNES – October 1, 2008: Auto Express has named Škoda Octavia winner of the Estate Car Category in this year’s Used Car Honours, placing the Czech brand’s most popular estate ahead of Honda Accord and Vauxhall Vectra.

The appeal of the ultimate used load-lugger was assessed on criteria ranging from residual values and running costs to image and reliability.

David Johns, Editor of Auto Express, commented on Škoda’s latest gong: "The practical Škoda Octavia Estate is better value and more widely available than just about every other family load carrier around. To clinch the deal it also topped our annual Driver Power customer satisfaction survey this year."

Robert Hazelwood, Škoda’s Brand Director and a proud driver of the vehicle, added: “The Octavia Estate is simply ahead of its rivals. The boot is large and rear seats fold easily to release even more space. It is also a comfortable and fun to drive car with plenty of equipment.”

“The Octavia proves you don’t need to have a large budget to buy a practical estate car with loads of room. In the current market, buying from a Škoda retailer will also ensure attractive pricing, great service and a genuinely pleasant car owning experience.”
