BIRMINGHAM – September 30, 2008: Heart FM DJ Dave Clarke enjoyed a ‘Superb’ afternoon with help from staff at Central Škoda in Birmingham.

The Drive Time Show presenter was recently given a full demonstration at the Tyburn Road retailer, of the brand new Škoda Superb.

Dave was shown the how the new Superb parallel parks itself and the unique Twindoor function which allows the user to have both a hatch and saloon style boot at the touch of a button.

Dave comments: “The really gob smacking features were how the Superb parallel parks itself and the unique Twindoor function which allows the user to have both a hatch and saloon style boot at the touch of a button.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw the Superb park itself so smoothly into a space, it was like something out of Knight Rider. I kept expecting the car to talk to me.”

With the range starting from £15,490RRP on the road, Škoda are competing head on with the mainstream market. A total of six engines will be available, three petrol and three diesel including the GreenLine model delivering low CO2 emissions and greater fuel efficiency.

Customers will have the choice of three trim levels; entry level S, mid range SE and top of the range Elegance.

Retailer Principal of Central Škoda, Mike Byrne is expecting a lot interest for the new flagship model: “As Dave and many others have seen, you get a lot for your money with the Superb. The generous leg room, boot space and the striking design will appeal to a wide range of drivers.

“Families and business-people alike are sure to be impressed with the high specification and executive look of the new model.”
