MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio, Sept 18, 2008 - For 25 years, the Womens Motorcyclist Foundation (WMF) has been promoting the safe enjoyment of motorcycling among women. WMF has also dedicated itself to the fight against breast cancer, raising more than $2 million for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the worlds largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. Now, Progressive has become the official insurer of WMF.

As part of the sponsorship, WMF and Progressive will team up to exhibit at California Bike Week, Oct. 24-26, 2008 in Pomona, Calif., and will also partner at other events in 2009. Event attendees will have the chance to pick up Progressive/WMF kickstand coasters and learn more about both organizations. Women riders can also learn more about the WMF and Progressive at http://motorcycle.progressive.com/women.

Whether its providing motorcycle insurance or tips on safe riding, WMF and Progressive are both in the business of making sure female riders are top of mind, said Marcy Gray, motorcycle product manager at Progressive. As a female biker, I understand the importance of organizations like the WMF, and am thrilled to provide resources to help further its mission.
