Citroen Kicks Off Exclusive Deal With London Wasps RFC

SLOUGH – September 9, 2008: Citroën’s Retail Group has signed a deal to become the official vehicle supplier of London Wasps Rugby Football Club.

The deal will see Citroën London West and Citroën Slough provide players and staff of the Guinness Premier League Champions with a selection of its latest models, including the new C5.

Citroën is the latest French signing to add to the Wasps’ impressive line up which includes, Raphael Ibanez, the former Captain of the France national team as well as Serge Besten, the France International.

The Company will also be playing a key role in supporting the Club’s Community development programme by providing a fleet of Citroën vehicles including the new Berlingo LCV and Relay vans.

Wasps supporters will benefit from a planned affinity scheme whereby club members will receive special offers on Citroën vehicles bought from the Retail Group’s premises including the club’s local dealerships Slough and London West.

Peter Scrivener, London Wasps’ Commercial Director, commented; “We’re delighted to have Citroën supporting the team both on and off the pitch and the use of their vehicles will be especially beneficial to our community work.”

Citroën Retail Group will be the official match sponsor for the Wasps’ first game of the Guinness Premiership season on 14th September when the team will square off against the Worcester Warriors.
