General Motors Teams with Goodwill to Recycle Byproducts to Reduce Landfill - VIDEO STORY
DETROIT - September 8, 2008: Several manufacturing companies are partnering with Goodwill to reduce their carbon footprint by recycling or reusing all production. One such company, General Motors, reports 12 of its U.S. plants and 43 worldwide are now landfill free – meaning they reuse or recycle everything from aluminum chips to plastic trays to used gloves. As a result, GM says it has eliminated an estimated 8,000 tons of waste annually.
