California State Parks Foundation Teams up with Toyota to Make One Person's Dream a Reality

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 5, 2008 - The California State Parks Foundation (CSPF) recently announced that one lucky person will win a fully-loaded 2009 Toyota Prius at the 2008 Golden Poppy Award gala on Friday, September 26 at the historic Union Station in Los Angeles. Los Angeles Dodgers Owner and Chairman, Frank McCourt, will be honored along with the Advocates for Los Angeles State Historic Park (LASHP). Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa will accept the award on behalf of the Advocates. Huell Howser, host of California's Gold is slated as Master of Ceremonies.

"We're thrilled to have Toyota as our partner and a member of our Corporate Chairman's Leadership Circle," said Elizabeth Goldstein, CSPF president. "Their commitment to the goals of CSPF represents Toyota's longstanding dedication to protecting the environment and the company's continued allegiance to preserving and enhancing our state parks."

Tickets for the Toyota Prius opportunity drawing are $100. Only 700 will be sold, giving participants an excellent opportunity to drive away in "green style."

Additional chances to enter the Toyota Prius opportunity drawing occur at: Dodger Stadium on Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Parking Lot "G" from 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; and at the Brentwood Farmer's Market at 741 S. Gretna Green Way, Los Angeles, on Sunday, September 7 from 8:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, be legal residents of the State of California, and hold a valid California driver license to purchase tickets.
