Having its world premiere, the new Superb to be presented at the upcoming event is fitted with Škoda's most powerful petrol engine (3.6 FSI V6, 191 kW) giving the vehicle 0 - 100 km/h acceleration in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. The 3.6 FSI V6 engine comes with the latest automatic six-speed transmission (DSG) and four-wheel drive. The Superb will be available also with other engines – 1.9 TDI PD DPF 77 kW, 2.0 TDI PD DPF 103 kW, 2.0 TDI CR DPF 125 kW (diesel units, also four wheel-drive) and 1.4 TSI 92 kW and 1.8 TSI 118 kW (petrol units, also four-wheel drive). However, Škoda Auto's plan is to start producing its complete portfolio in Kaluga by 2009.
