Pure Luxury Transportation 'Leading' in Green

PETALUMA, CA - August 21, 2008: Luxury ground transportation in Northern California is helping us breathe easier. Pure Luxury Transportation has been recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for their environmental commitments and has become a partner in the US EPA Climate Leaders program. As members of Green Ride Global (GRG) - a firm that creates and implements environmental sustainability programs for the ground transportation industry - Pure Luxury Transportation has qualified for inclusion in the Climate Leaders program, based on GRG's environmental management system and ability to measure, reduce and report on Pure Luxury's greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions.

"Very few companies from the transportation industry are part of the Climate Leaders Program", says Ian Lipton, Chief Operating Officer of Green Ride Global. "Pure Luxury Transportation is helping show the EPA that chauffeured ground transportation companies can demonstrate a serious commitment to environmental sustainability."

Pure Luxury Transportation has been a Green Ride Global member since January of this year and has already yielded impressive results around improving their company's environmental performance and GHG reductions. Since Pure Luxury's inception into the program, Green Ride Global has been measuring, monitoring and reporting on the emissions associated with all aspects of Pure Luxury's fleet and facilities. Inside of their first quarter alone, Pure Luxury achieved a GHG reduction of three metric tons, or 16% per vehicle, over the same period last year.
