TOPEKA, Kan. Aug. 19, 2008 – Round Three of the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship at the Mazda Grand Prix of Portland begins its run of TV airings this week on DIRECTV, Dish Network and other regional cable networks.

The thrilling 45-minute race from Portland International Raceway is currently scheduled to air nationally on Comcast Sports Net West on Aug. 19 and Aug. 26 at 9 p.m. (EDT), and on Mid-Atlantic Sports Network Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. and Aug. 23 at 5 p.m. (EDT). The race will also air on Time Warner Sports Net, LoneStar Sports Net, Comcast 900 Sports, MavTV, AmericaOne Network, and AMGTV this week through September 10th. Check with your local cable provider for times.

Tune in or set your DVR to watch defending race winner Andrew Caddell start from the pole in his return to MX-5 Cup. The mirrors on Caddell’s No. 30 Hooverspeed/Victory Lane Data MX-5 are quickly filled with the No. 14 Hooverspeed/Mazda/Patron Tequila MX-5 of Brad Rampelberg, whose early attempts for the lead allow Christian Franck in the No. 16 Alara Racing/Select Painting MX-5 to take over second place. Franck too makes a misstep while chasing Caddell, handing the reins back to Rampelberg and the No. 56 Hooverspeed/Pancreaticcure.org MX-5 of Todd Buras to stop Caddell from taking his second-consecutive Portland victory.

Round Four of the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship from Road America will begin airing the week of Sept. 8. Airdates for Round Five from Trois-Rivières commence the week of Sept. 22. For more information visit www.mx-5cup.com
