GM Gives First Look at Production-Ready Battery-Powered Volt - VIDEO ENHANCED

Chevy Volt concept at Detroit Auto Show

DETROIT - August 14, 2008: General Motors today released two still photos of the production version of its electric car, the Chevrolet Volt. Both photos (see below) show just small portions of the vehicle. Included on this page is a short video clip released this past May, which also reveals a sneak peek at the Volt.

The vehicle was first introduced at the North American International Auto Show in 2007 and is an important element of General Motors' plan to develop a full-range of gas-friendly to gas-free vehicles.
