MX-5 Cup Round Two from Mosport to Air This Week

Round Two of the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup from Mosport International Raceway begins airing on DIRECTV, Dish Network and other regional cable networks this week.

The unpredictable action of MX-5 Cup combines with the unpredictable weather of Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, to produce a spectacular rain race during the Victoria Day Speedfest Weekend. As the green flag waves at the soggy track, polesitter Eric Foss keeps his No. 28 Team MER/Autobarn Mazda MX-5 in front as several cars spin into the Turn One gravel behind him, including fifth-starting Robert Huffmaster in the No. 27 Team MER/Huffmaster Co. MX-5.

While Foss is building a substantial gap on the No. 14 Hooverspeed/Mazda MX-5 of Brad Rampelberg and the No. 56 Hooverspeed/Pancreaticcure.org MX-5 of Todd Buras, Huffmaster is mounting an amazing comeback and Brett Smrz is charging from the back of the grid through the field in the No. 6 Alara Racing/Smrz Racing MX-5. Both appear to be unstoppable in the rain, but who will catch the leaders first?

Set your satellite dish to Comcast Sports Net West on Tuesday, July 29, at 9 p.m. (EDT) to witness this astonishing display of car control in the trickiest of conditions. The race will air again on Wednesday, July 30, at 5:00 p.m. (EDT). Check www.comcastsportsnet.com for additional airings as well as your cable provider for show times on Time Warner Sports Net, LoneStar Sports Net, Comcast 900 Sports, MavTV, AmericaOne Network, and AMGTV.
