Worn Tensioners are frequently the cause of belt damage (tension loss, excessive vibration, misalignment, etc.). To reduce warranty comebacks and labor claims, it is recommended that the Automatic Tensioners be replaced at the same time as the serpentine belt. To promote the replacement of a tensioner each time a serpentine, Micro V-Belt is replaced, from August 1, 2008 until October 31, 2008 at participating CARQUEST Auto Parts stores, for every 10 Micro V-Belt / Tensioner combinations purchased, a professional technician will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card from Gates, supplier of CARQUEST Tensioners and Micro V-Belts. Combinations purchased must be for the same vehicle. Purchases of CARQUEST Bravo or Red Micro-V Belts do not qualify.
