MILWAUKEE, June 27 -- On Monday, June 30, 2008, Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), the official riding club of Harley-Davidson, is encouraging its members around the world to band together and log a cumulative one million riding miles by the day's end.

Whether it's riding to work, around the block, solo, part of a group or part of a longer journey, as long as the miles are tracked and entered they will count towards the final tally. Million Mile Monday is open to all members -- riders and passengers alike. Participant's mileages will be recorded by logging into the H.O.G's exclusive Members Only Web site (members.hog.com), where participants can log their miles and print out a special certificate commemorating the inaugural event.

"The goal of the event is to give members an excuse to have fun and hit the open road on two wheels," said Mike Keefe, vice president of H.O.G. "Get on your bike and take the scenic route to work or gather a few ridding buddies during lunch. We want to make getting involved simple, so in the end all that matters is that you ride -- one or 1,000 miles -- it all counts toward the goal of one million miles."

In addition to logging miles, H.O.G. members can go to http://www.hog.com/ to upload photos, share comments with other members and monitor an official Million Mile Monday odometer, which will track every mile entered.

Founded in 1983, H.O.G. currently has more than one million members and over 1,400 chapters worldwide, making it the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle organization in the world. H.O.G. rallies are held around the globe to celebrate Harley-Davidson motorcycle riding.
