Shanghai, June 24 (Gasgoo.com) The sales networks of FAW-VW-made cars and the imported VW cars are expected to be merged. Winfried Vahland, CEO of Volkswagen (China), has come to an agreement recently on the VW brand sales network integration with Qin Huanming ,the vice general manager of China's First Auto Works (FAW).

Currently, dealerships of FAW-VW exceed 350 nationwide, but only about 40 of them are authorized dealerships for selling the imported VW cars. Home-made and imported VW vehicles will come up in a same 4S dealership after the sales networks of FAW-VW-made cars and imported VW cars being merged.

The Audi brand under FAW-VW has succeeded in fulfilling the sales target since merging the sales networks of home-made and imported vehicles in 2006. Thus, VW plans to follow in the footsteps of Audi¡¯s success.

The sales networks of FAW-VW cars and imported VW cars are expected to be merged through establishing VW Brand and Marketing Department. Meanwhile, VW (China) will control businesses from auto parts supplying to sales segment.
