AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 10 -- Continental recognized the efforts and achievements of North American employees who contributed to the organization's intellectual property in the form of patents and invention disclosures in 2007, at a celebratory dinner May 29th.

Now in its seventh year, the annual dinner pays tribute to the importance of ideas and contributions made by individuals who help ensure the company's position as a technological leader in the automotive industry. "Ideas are at the core of the quest for what can be," said Phil Headley, Chief Engineer Advanced Technology for Continental. "In today's environment the quest for what can be is more demanding than ever, as consumers are pressing for new approaches to automotive safety, sustainability and information management. We appreciate the innovations that our people generate in the realms of vehicle safety, performance and connectivity."
