FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., May 30, 2008 -- To demonstrate how its hand-crafted, premium leather and leather-wrapping process can contribute to a more luxurious vehicle interior, Seton Company - a leading global supplier of high-quality leather for automotive interiors - will participate in a panel discussion titled "Redefining the Premium Interior" at the WARD'S Auto Interiors Show to be held June 4 and 5 at Detroit's Cobo Center.

Lorene Boettcher, design manager for the automotive leather division of Seton, will discuss the latest trends in automotive leather in a presentation titled "The Tailored Interior." The panel discussion will take place on Wednesday, June 4 at 2:10 p.m. in room D2 09-10. Boettcher will also provide perspective on Seton's unique leather-wrapping process and increased customer demand for leather-wrapped components.

"In the past, automakers focused much of their efforts on the use of leather in seating design," said Boettcher. "Recently, the use of leather has been extended and applied to the instrument panel and other components to ultimately accentuate the overall appearance and luxury effect of the vehicle."

Belederung, the German term used to describe Seton's leather-wrapping process and the precise sewing of vehicle components, gives automakers the opportunity to create a number of unique interiors that match their customers' preferences and requirements. Seton provides leather-wrapping and sewing services for a number of automotive interior components, including the dashboard, instrument and door panels, steering wheel, center console, sun visor and more.
