Personnel Announcement: Change in Executive Board of Continental AG

HANOVER, Germany, May 29, 2008 -- At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Continental AG accepted the request by William L. Kozyra, Deputy Member of the Executive Board of Continental AG, that he be granted early release from his contract and premature termination of his appointment to Continental AG's Executive Board effective June 1, 2008. Kozyra will take up a new challenge in another company. He has been Deputy Member of the Executive Board of Continental AG for the NAFTA region since February 2006. Amongst other things, Kozyra was responsible for the Integration of the Motorola Automotive activities into Continental.

The Supervisory Board thanks Mr. Kozyra for all the work he has done during his ten years as President and CEO of Continental Teves North America and wishes him every success in his new assignment.

Effective June 1, 2008, Samir Salman, Head of Division Chassis and Safety NAFTA, is appointed CEO for North America and Jeff Klei, General Motors Key Account Manager, is appointed President for North America. This has been decided by the Executive Board of Continental AG on Monday.
