Kia Motors to ensure smooth transportation with fleet for UEFA EURO 2008T

(SEOUL) May 28, 2008 -- Kia Motors Corporation announced today that it will deliver 265 passenger cars and provide 463 bus days to ensure efficient and smooth transportation during UEFA EURO 2008(tm) in Austria and Switzerland, as a UEFA EUROTOP Partner and official automobile of UEFA EURO 2008(tm) (in conjunction with its sister company Hyundai Motor). Kia is supplying official vehicles from its wide-ranging model line-up (Opirus, cee'd, Sorento, Carens and Carnival) to the EURO 2008 SA and seeks to boost its brand recognition through commercial displays at the event venues and A-board advertisements in the stadiums.

UEFA EURO 2008(tm) is scheduled to kick off June 7th in Basle, Switzerland with the champion to be crowned on June 29th in Vienna, Austria. The matches will take place throughout eight cities in Austria (Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt) and Switzerland (Basle, Zurich, Bern, Geneva). UEFA EURO 2008(tm) marks the biggest and most prestigious event among Kia's partnership with UEFA.

While handing over a giant car key to Martin Kallen, COO of EURO 2008(tm) SA, and Phillippe Margraff, Commercial Director of UEFA, Kwang-Ho Nam, President of Kia Motors Europe, delightedly expressed, "Kia Motors views the active participation in football marketing as an integral part of our vision to become a formidable player on the global automotive stage. In line with our young and energetic brand identity we have made a strategic effort to ramp up our presence in major sports sponsorships to boost Kia's brand awareness worldwide."

Kia Motors is also making a further contribution with its support of the EURO Experience Tour being held in each of the host cities in Austria and Switzerland as a means of promoting the tournament and allowing fans to experience the excitement of UEFA EURO 2008(tm) through a variety of interactive games and events.

In addition to its close partnership with UEFA, Kia Motors is also a FIFA Partner in conjunction with Hyundai Motor including and will sponsor the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups. On a local level, Kia Motors has partnered with several premier professional European football clubs including Atlético de Madrid of Spain and FC Bordeaux of France.
