DUBLIN, Ohio (May 1, 2008) - The Mid-Ohio School, the comprehensive driving and riding instruction company owned by TrueSports, Inc. and based as Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, will host up to 18 women in the school's first-ever Women's-only Honda Adult Defensive Driving Program, June 7.

The course will provide the opportunity for women motorists to learn new defensive driving skills and better understand the principles of safe driving through drill repetition and classroom sessions. A great way to practice collision avoidance, driving in inclement weather, and vehicle control, the one-day program will include an emergency lane change drill utilizing Honda Odyssey minivans. Further drills will include wet braking and skid car, with the ABS turned on and off.

"We've occasionally found at The Mid-Ohio School that women are intimidated to enroll in our programs, mainly because they occur at a racing facility where men tend to dominate the landscape," offered David Roush, general manager of The Mid-Ohio School. "While many women still do come through our various programs, we thought it necessary to target this demographic that may have previously been unaware of our offerings. On a day-to-day basis, women are likely to log more driving miles, and most often with passengers in the vehicle, so it's important to give them these life-saving skills in order to avoid a collision or recover from a loss of control situation."

The program, a perfect Mother's Day gift, is open for enrollment by calling 1-877-793-8667 or by visiting www.midohioschool.com. The price of this program is $350 and includes the use of a Honda Civic EX Coupe and Honda Odyssey van.

The Mid-Ohio School provides professional driving and riding instruction to drivers and motorcyclists of all skill levels. The school's 18 programs vary from Defensive Driving, High Performance and Racing programs on the automobile side, to Beginning, Experienced and Performance Track Riding programs on the motorcycle side. Students enjoy classroom sessions, skill drills, expert private instruction and lapping on the same track that challenges the world's top racers. Students participating in the driving school may use their own street-legal car or one of The Mid-Ohio School's official cars: Honda Civic EX Coupes, Acura TSX A-SPECs and Honda S2000 roadsters. The Mid-Ohio School, celebrating its 15th Anniversary in 2008, has graduated 27,000 students, including 9,000 teenagers, with the support of partners American Honda Motor Co. Inc., Westfield Insurance, JEGS, Performance Friction Brakes, CORSA Performance Exhausts, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Sunoco, Kumho Tires and KTM.

Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, TrueSports, Incorporated is a privately held motorsports entertainment enterprise. The company owns and operates Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and The Mid-Ohio School, and promotes a wide variety of motor racing, driver instruction, corporate, and family entertainment events throughout the year.
