Parrett Named Nissan Manufacturing Communications Manager

NASHVILLE, Tenn. April 29, 2008; Steve Parrett, communications manager in Nissan North America, Inc.’s South Central Region, will become Manager, Manufacturing Communications, based in Tennessee. His appointment is effective May 1.

In his new position, Parrett will be responsible for external communications activities involving NNA’s assembly plants in Smyrna, Tenn., and Canton, Miss., and the company’s powertrain plant in Decherd, Tenn.

In addition, he will work with Nissan Mexicana in communications activities involving its assembly plants in Aguascalientes and Cuernavaca.

Parrett joined Nissan’s Communications Department in 2002 at Smyrna, where he was responsible for internal communications. The following year he transferred to the regional position in Irving, Texas.

There, he was responsible for communications activities linked to Nissan’s captive-finance operation, Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp., and the regional sales and marketing office.

A new South Central regional communications manager will be announced later.

In North America, Nissan's operations include automotive styling, design, engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing.
