  • Reporters and editors in Philadelphia are invited to drive the XH-150 150 mpg SUV at Penn Treaty Park along the river on Delaware Avenue at E. Columbia Ave.

This will be the first and only opportunity to drive the XH-150 anywhere on the East Coast before it is featured on the Capital Mall in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, April 20 as part of the 38th anniversary of Earth Day.

The XH-150 uses batteries, ultracaps and proprietary power and control electronics to enable an electric-only mode to drive more than 40 miles on a single overnight household charge, can achieve highway speeds up to 87 miles per hour in all electric mode, and is capable of unlimited range in hybrid mode using its gas engine along with its batteries and ultracaps, still with better mileage than comparable gasoline only cars. In addition, contrary to the common image of electric and hybrid vehicles, the XH-150 is also capable of much faster acceleration than comparable gas-only SUVs.
