With the next ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) event still more than a month and a half away, you would think that the ARCA Thunder crew (would have almost nothing to talk about. Wrong. Tonight’s edition of ARCA Thunder will welcome two veterans to the stage for their first show appearance in 2008 with the gang also voicing their opinions on some of the latest ARCA topics.

In the first segment of the night, the group will talk about the newest female expected to join the ARCA world, Chrissy Wallace. The daughter of former ARCA driver Mike Wallace is expected to take her first tango with the ARCA series later this year. Also on the agenda is an in-depth look at Justin South. The former ARCA RE/MAX Series driver speaks out and we’re here to cover it. Finally, ARCA graduates update. How did the former ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers at Auto Club Speedway of South California do this past weekend? We’ll bring you the results along with the latest commentary.

In the SPEEDtv.com Hot Seat, the ARCA Thunder crew welcomes five-time ARCA 200 at Daytona winner Bobby Gerhart to the program. Gerhart, a namesake for the series for nearly two decades will discuss his season opening run, what goes on behind the scenes at Bobby Gerhart Racing (BGR) while also looking ahead to the next race at Salem while also discussing his chances at the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series championship. Gerhart drives the No. 5 Lucas Oil Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS prepared by brother Billy Gerhart.

For segment three, ARCA Thunder will shift gears a little bit and focus on the ARCA Lincoln Welder Truck Series (ALWTS), a series that flies under the radar when the ARCA RE/MAX Series tour is in action. To bring the fans up to speed, two-time ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck champion Robbin Slaughter will join the team and talk about what the benefits are of running in the ALWTS. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Slaughter is a back-to-back champion of the ALTWS carrying home the trophies in 2000 and 2001. He also has two ARCA RE/MAX Series starts rewinding back to 2003 and 2004.

The final installment of the night will be jammed pack. ARCA insider Chris Knight will lead off the segment with his news and rumors presented by Race City Steel. Then the group will fall into an open discussion who is going to have a make or break season. The primary focus will be former Formula 1 veteran Scott Speedway with the Thunder gang also able to pick one more driver.

Additionally, of the drivers who scored a victory during the 2007 season, the ARCA Thunder crew will explore who they believe will not land in victory lane during the 2008 campaign. The closing topic of the night will be who will end up in victory lane as a first-time winner in 2008?

"We're between races and to have such quality guests each week is great. Bobby Gerhart is one of the series best drivers and personalities,” said ARCA Thunder Host Mike Harper. “It's always fun having him on the show. And to finally bring some attention to the ARCA Trucks on our show is long overdue. I can't wait to visit with two-time ARCA Truck Champion Robbin Slaughter and to find more out about these tough trucks!"
