  • IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 4, 2008 -- Land Rover is setting up camp for consumers delivering three luxury off-road 'Adventures' between April 18-29 in Moab, Utah -- the legendary recreation haven that is known for its images of stunning scenery, immense red rock monuments and world-class outdoor recreation.

The Land Rover Moab Adventure is an exclusive four-day, three-night experience for Land Rover customers and off-road enthusiasts where each day begins and ends with the best local cuisine and luxury accommodations at the Sorrel River Ranch alongside the banks of the Colorado River.

Novice and experienced off-road adventurers have the opportunity to drive a Land Rover Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and LR3 through some of Moab's challenging, yet breathtakingly beautiful, red rock trails with the guidance of Land Rover's world-class driving instructors.

"Land Rover has traveled the globe throughout its 60 year history and our owners reap the benefit of our experience in creating and delivering exceptional outdoor travel experiences," said Bob Burns, 3D experience driving programs manager, Land Rover North America. "Our owners tend to seek out adventure in remote and out of the way places and our adventures are designed to showcase the capability of our vehicles while finding unique and memorable locations."

The Land Rover Moab Adventure is offered to a limited number of outdoor enthusiasts for $2,995* per person, based on double occupancy (single occupancy is $3,495* per person). Pricing includes luxury accommodations at the Sorrel River Ranch, inclusive of meals and beverages, designated activities and park entrance fees, and the use of a Land Rover while based in Moab. Participants must be 21 years old, and carry a valid driver's license. Previous off-road experience or Land Rover ownership is not required.

    Global Land Rover Adventures

Geared toward potential and current Land Rover owners, Land Rover Adventures presents each participant with a first-class vacation and unique off-road driving opportunities. Each Land Rover Adventures trip is designed to familiarize off-road enthusiasts with the supreme range of capabilities and technologies that only Land Rover vehicles possess. Land Rover driving instructors will personally teach and guide each participant through unpaved terrain and trails, testing the capacities of both vehicle and driver.

In 2007, Land Rover visited some of South Africa's most awe-inspiring destinations, including: a spectacular drive on the South African coast, a voyage through the scenic Swartberg Mountains and quick stops in quaint South African towns. What Land Rover African adventure would be complete without a game drive; last year's participants traveled in a Land Rover Defender at the Sabi Sabi Game Reserve. A similar program is under review for Namibia in the fall of 2008, and location and details will be the subject of a future announcement.

While Land Rover Experience Centers are set up globally, Land Rover Germany is currently the only other country to offer a comparable Land Rover Adventures program. The programs vary between four and 14 days and are located in the following countries: Namibia, Spain, Iceland, Canada, Scotland, and Argentina.

Reservations: Space is extremely limited. For program details and to reserve your space on this adventure of a lifetime, please call Land Rover Adventures at 1-828-225-1541. *Adventure information and pricing are subject to change without notice.
