DETROIT - January 13, 2008: As seen live on The Auto Channel last night, Singer Kid Rock headed back home to Detroit to participate in GM Style, a party hosted by General Motors to mark the beginning of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

The event, which kicked off a series of activities leading up to GM’s 100-year anniversary (Sept. 16, 2008), featured performances by Kid Rock, Mary J. Blidge, DJ Samantha Ronson and Maroon 5. In addition, the event included a fashion show highlighting both apparel designs and GM vehicles like the E85 Hot Rod and Chevrolet Camaro convertible concepts. The clothes included designs from Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit label and William Rast, a line created by musician Justin Timberlake and designer Trace Ayala. Attendees also saw jewelry by Mexico’s Colette Steckel. GM Style was held Jan. 12 on the banks of the Detroit River.
