Shanghai. January 11 (Gasgoo.com) - Cadillac SRX SUV was launched in China Wednesday as Shanghai GM is striving to grab a bigger share of China¡¯s luxury vehicle market.

The Cadillac SRX, a luxury crossover SUV, will be available in two editions, of which the SRX 3.6L will be priced at 628,000 yuan ($86,469) to 698,000 yuan ($96,108) depending on different configurations, while SRX4.6L V8 model will be priced at 828,000 yuan ($114,007).

The combination of the Northstar V8 4.6 Liter engine (maximum output 320 h/p) and six-speed automatic transmission provides strong acceleration. The V6 3.6 liter engine (output 260 h/p) is a more popular choice among SRX buyers, however, and it should be adequate for most drivers. It also features better fuel economy than the V8 4.6 liter engine.

This year's sales results for big SUVs show that many customers can afford to buy big SUVs.
