Yamaha Expands Line of Four-Stroke Yamalube(R) Oils

Seven new products introduced with new performance formulations

KENNESAW, Ga., Dec. 20 -- Yamaha Motor Corporation has expanded its line of four-stroke Yamalube(R) motorsports oil products with the addition of seven new formulations. These new lubricants have been specially engineered to meet the demands of today's high-performance four-stroke engines.

In response to the growing popularity of four-stroke engines throughout the motorsports industry, Yamalube engineers have created oils specially- formulated for accelerated performance in Yamaha motorcycles, ATV's, side-by-sides, scooters, snowmobiles and watercraft. Yamalube all-purpose, semi and full-synthetic oils are JASO rated based on application and enhance the performance of Yamaha engines.

"The motorsports world is now dominated by high-performance four-strokes that utilize technology that didn't exist just 10 years ago," says John Tomsche, Yamaha's Manager of Yamalube Product Development. "The new formulas meet the demands of the latest four-stroke engines. We're really proud of Yamalube's new line-up and also very excited about the enhanced performance capabilities."

Yamaha's national motorsports dealers were the first to learn of the expansion of Yamalube oils at the 2007 dealer show in Orlando, Florida. Dealers also got a sneak peek at Yamalube's bold, new packaging and marketing materials for the entire line of four-stroke oils.

"Our rugged new packaging is just as exciting as our new formulas," Tomsche says, "We believe that Yamalube has really filled a niche in the market."

The industrial-tread bottle design and action product photos will assist customers in finding the right oil for their needs while helping Yamalube stand out in the retail crowd. The distinct new look is carried through in point-of-purchase materials as well as catalogs and displays.

  The Yamalube four-stroke family now includes:

  Yamalube 15W-50 Full-Synthetic with Ester
  -- Yamalube's best performance oil for motorsport land engines.
  -- Blended with ester-fortified synthetic base oils to provide the best
     protection for Yamaha engines.

  Yamalube 5W-40, 10W-50, and 20W-50 Semi-Synthetic
  -- Specially-blended from both mineral and synthetic base stocks to
     provide maximum benefits to a broad range of applications and resist
     thermal breakdown.
  -- Exclusive blend of oils and additives minimizes frictional loss for
     higher performance in high stress competitive situations.
  -- Offers critical protection against ring wear and piston scuffing.

  Yamalube Performance All Purpose 5W-30, 10W-40, and 20W-50
  -- Performance-blended engine oil that uses high quality mineral base
     stocks.
  -- For use in motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and scooters.
