Nissan and Yahoo! Music "Share the Passion" and The Auto Channel was There!

The Autochannel joined approximately 350 guests with Nissan and Yahoo!Music to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Nissan Live Sets. The red-carpet event, hosted by Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes, featured a DJ set by Samantha Ronson followed by a live performance by Matchbox Twenty.

Guests included socialite, Paris Hilton and actors Dave Annable and Emily Vancamp (Brothers & Sisters); David Spade (Rules of Engagement); Joe Reitman (Lady In the Water); Dominique Swain (Alpha Dog, Face Off; ) Madeline Zima (Californication); David Blue (Ugly Betty) and Carly Pope (24).

Party guests checked out the Nissan GT- R prior to the performance by Matchbox Twenty. For the ‘cool’ LA set, this was the first time most of them had seen anything like the GT-R from Nissan and in fact many didn’t even know what it was, exactly what a ‘halo’ car should do for a brand and just what Ben Poore did in his prior role as Ford GT project and VIP team leader. Well it worked for FORD and the Mustang, so it should work for Nissan too and with a sneak preview of the Nissan FORUM Concept Van for select automotive and lifestyle media, the sheshepoopoo crowd got a lot more then they bargained for.

Artists that have graced the Nissan Live Sets stage in the past year include, Christina Aguilera, Tony Bennett, John Legend, Joss Stone, Avril Lavigne, Maroon 5, Velvet Revolver, Lifehouse, Common, Melissa Etheridge, Santana, PJ Harvey, Incubus, Beck, Macy Gray, Nas, The Stooges, Chris Cornell, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson, Ryan Adams, Rascal Flatts, Foo Fighters and Wyclef Jean.
