Tim Sauter Looking to Finish Strong Homestead is Last Race for Lester Buildings in NASCAR Tim Sauter and the Green Light Racing team have one race left in 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Season. It has been rollercoaster year for the team with plenty of highs and lows, through it all Sauter stands 16th in the driver standings heading into Friday’s Ford 200 at Homestead Miami Speedway.

“I’ve got mixed emotions about this weekend," Sauter explained. "The energy level at Homestead is always high, you know all kinds of stuff going on both on and off the track which is exciting. On the other hand the uncertainty of where things are headed for next year makes the last race tough. I’m thankful to everyone that we got to run the whole season for Lester Buildings and Green Light Racing.”

As the last race approaches, team co-owner Bobby Dotter reflected on the 2007 NCTS season. “2007 was a little tough to get going,” explained Dotter. “Though the finishes don’t always show it, but Tim has run very strong in the 2nd half of the season. We’re very grateful for the great sponsor Lester Buildings has been and the job Tim has done for Green Light Racing. Hopefully sponsorship can be secured for 2008 so Tim and Green Light can continue to improve.”

Sauter is only seven points behind Willie Allen in the Rookie of the Year race. Joey Clanton sits just two points behind Tim in third. “We need to have a great run in order to catch Willie for the rookie deal,” Sauter said. “It will take a solid top-ten to gain enough points. If we do that and Willie has a little trouble we can catch him and Joey could do the same. The whole season long deal comes down to this one race.”

Earlier this month, sponsor Lester Buildings announced they would not return to NASCAR racing in 2008. It has been a very successful four years that the Minnesota-based company has been involved with NASCAR racing. Tom Borgman, Lester Buildings Marketing Manager explains, “Our decision, which had nothing to do with Tim or the team's performance, was driven more by issues that, frankly, are issues for many mid-sized companies trying to sustain their marketing efforts in NASCAR. The good thing is that out of this experience, Lester Buildings is much more widely-known now and we'll continue to see sales spin from this for awhile yet.”

Lester Buildings is one of the largest manufacturers of engineered post-frame structures in the United States. The only company of its kind in the U.S. with online building pricing, provides building solutions for a broad range of needs – from simple farm and ranch buildings, hobby shops and equestrian buildings to many types of commercial structures. Over 140,000 Lester buildings have been erected throughout the U.S. from the eastern seaboard to the Rocky Mountains.
