Volvo Cars Sales Report for October 2007 in North America

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 1, 2007 -- Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA) reports sales of 7,771 units in the United States* for the month, representing a decrease of 7.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
Overall in North America (United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico), Volvo sales were down 8.1 percent for the month, with 8,452 units sold. October sales in Canada and Mexico were 433 units (down 26.4 percent) and 248 units (up 14.3 percent) respectively.
Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA), based in Irvine, Calif., is a subsidiary of Volvo Car Corporation of Goteborg, Sweden. VCNA provides marketing, sales, parts, service, technology and training support to Volvo automobile retailers in the United States, and oversees Volvo operations in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Volvo has been building cars with safety in mind for 80 years. The 2008 model lineup of Volvo cars includes: the award-winning new S40 and its wagon counterpart the V50; the award-winning XC90; the sporty S60 sedan; the new Volvo C70 - the convertible with the innovative retractable hardtop; the all- new Volvo S80; the recently introduced sporty C30, Volvo's two-door hatchback entry into a new segment; and also new to showrooms, the sophisticated yet rugged all-new XC70 and the soon to be released versatile V70 wagon.
