Dongfeng Shows Own Brand Hybrid Vehicle in Beijing

Chinese auto group Dongfeng Auto displayed its own hybrid vehicle codenamed EQ7200HEV at the 5th International Clean Vehicle Technology Exhibition and Forum in Beijing, a local newspaper reported.

The hybrid vehicle, which is built on the platform of a Dongfeng Nissan-made Bluebird, will start volume production in three years, acording to Beijing News.

The power system of this vehicle consists of a 1.6 Liter engine (Dongfeng PSA Fukang) and a lithum batter packs. The vehicle will be priced at about 250,000 yuan ($33,460) after volume production. Under Chinese government regulations, the price of a hybrid vehicle can be higher but no more than 30 percent higher than a gasoline powered vehicle at similar level.
