DETROIT - September 24, 2007: The ongoing real-estate slump is also causing a decline in truck sales, automakers report. As homebuilders look to tighten their expenses, many are using their current resources a little longer than they normally would. However, truck makers are hoping to open new doors, and new sales, by rolling out a new initiative, “The Hard Day’s Work Tour.” As part of the event, manufacturers are showcasing their products at various parking lots and construction sites throughout the U.S. The tour is expected to stop at 180 locations nationwide.
