Nissan Announces Corporate Communications Additions, Changes

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 1, 2007 -- Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today announced changes and additions in its Corporate Communications staff at its headquarters in Nashville and in U.S. manufacturing and regional offices. The changes are designed to strengthen manufacturing and marketing communications and to fill vacancies in product and regional staffs.

Vicki Smith will become Senior Manager, Manufacturing Communications with supervisory responsibilities involving communications activities at Nissan's vehicle assembly plants in Smyrna, TN, and Canton, MS, and its powertrain plant in Decherd, TN. She will be supported by staff in each of the plants and will report to Fred Standish, Director, Corporate Communications. Her appointment is effective Aug. 1.

Kathryn Fields has joined the Communications staff as Manager, Lifestyle PR. Her responsibilities include media relations regarding marketing and advertising initiatives and coordination of activities between the Communications and Marketing departments. Prior to her appointment, she was part of the Nissan Advanced Product Planning staff. She reports to Scott Vazin, Director, Product and Consumer PR.

Brian Brockman has joined the Communications group as Communications Manager, Midwest, based at the Nissan Technical Center in Farmington Hills, MI. His duties include media relations throughout the Midwest, regional support for product launches and corporate activities in the region. Prior to joining Nissan, Brockman worked for Hass, MS&L as part of its team dedicated to General Motors business, most recently the automaker's Saturn division. He reports to Katherine Zachary, Manager, Corporate and Regional Communications.

Also reporting to Zachary is Julie Lawless who will be based in Nashville and focused primarily on media relations and product and corporate activities in the Southeast region. Prior to her appointment, which is effective Aug. 1, Lawless has focused on manufacturing issues primarily at the Smyrna plant.

Josh Clifton has joined the Communications staff as Specialist, Infiniti Product Communications. His responsibilities include support for new Infiniti vehicle launches, on-going communications for Infiniti products currently in the market and planning for future Infiniti products destined for the U.S. market. He joined the Communications staff earlier this year from Nissan's Consumer Affairs Department. Clifton reports to Kyle Bazemore, Senior Manager, Infiniti PR.
