"Green By Nature": Valeo to Showcase Environmentally Friendly Technologies, New Park4U(TM) Features at Frankfurt Motor Show

PARIS, July 20, 2007 -- During the Frankfurt IAA Motor Show, Valeo will be showcasing its environmentally friendly innovations under the theme "Green by nature", thereby affirming its natural and long-standing commitment to original and innovative technologies for reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Valeo's many solutions make it possible to achieve fuel savings of up to 40%, without sacrificing either performance or driving comfort.

The Valeo stand will feature the Stop-Start system, which now equips the smart mhd (micro-hybrid drive). Other technologies, including electromagnetic valve actuation and a new water-cooled charge air cooler system, will be on display in a dedicated "Green by nature" zone. Valeo will also unveil the latest innovations from its three Domains: Driving Assistance, Comfort Enhancement and Powertrain Efficiency.

Another of the Show's highlights will take place outside Hall 8 (F10, 32) in a 300msquared area dedicated to parking demonstrations. This parking assistance system allows drivers to park their vehicle automatically in a few seconds, with their hands off the wheel, only operating the brake and accelerator pedals. This area will be used on the days reserved for press and trade visitors to demonstrate the system's new features.

Thierry Morin, Valeo Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, will hold a press conference on 12 September at 9h00 on the Valeo stand (Hall 8, Stand D02).
