Mitsubishi Motors North America Promotes Dan Kuhnert to Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing

CYPRESS, Calif., June 28 -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) announced today that Daniel P. Kuhnert has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Kuhnert rejoined MMNA in April 2005 as senior vice president of sales after more than a decade as a dealer principal of two Mitsubishi dealerships in San Diego County.

Kuhnert first joined MMNA in 1988 and served as its general manager for the Western Region until 1992. From 1992 through 2001, Kuhnert was the owner/operator of Carlsbad Mitsubishi. From 2001 prior to his return to MMNA, Kuhnert served as managing partner of the Poway Auto Group in Poway, California, where he oversaw both Mitsubishi and Hyundai dealerships.

Prior to his career with Mitsubishi, Kuhnert held various sales positions for Volkswagen of America, Inc. He began his career as a zone manager for Ford Motor Company in Lansing, Michigan. Kuhnert graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He earned his master's degree in business administration from St. Mary's College in Moraga, California.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc., (MMNA) is responsible for all manufacturing, finance, sales, marketing and research and development operations of the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in the United States. Mitsubishi Motors sells coupes, convertibles, sedans, a mid-size pickup truck and sport utility vehicles through a network of approximately 500 dealers.
