Mike Kimberley, CEO of Group Lotus plc comments “I would like to welcome LK Co., Ltd. to the Lotus family and brand. The South Korean market is important to us and we are pleased to have teamed up with such an enthusiastic and professional organisation who has so much knowledge and understanding of what Lotus is all about. The Lotus brand is well known in South Korea through our world class engineering consultancy division, which has done extensive work with many of South Korea’s car companies and we are looking forward to further increasing our high technology brand reputation in this region.”

With the appointment of LK Co., Ltd. as the official and exclusive Lotus dealer for South Korea, Lotus is demonstrating its commitment to true sportscar enthusiasts in the region.

Mr Lee, Sung Hee, President of LK Co., Ltd., commented: “As a fanatic car enthusiast myself, I am ecstatic and excited to be able to share my long-time love affair with Lotus design and innovative engineering with our Korean Lotus fanatics and sports car enthusiasts alike. We at LK Co., Ltd. will dedicate all available resources to introduce the Lotus brand to the sportscar market in the Korean peninsula which, I believe, will introduce those drivers not familiar to the Lotus concept of "extreme performance" with unrivalled innovation in engineering – almost defying the laws of physics on the road. Our mission is to captivate not only the current Lotus drivers but also to win the hearts and minds of other supercar enthusiasts and the first-time sportscar buyers through awareness marketing which will increase the recognition of Lotus brand amongst Korean drivers.”

Mr Lee continues: “Looking to the future, Lotus is expanding its line-up to include new products such as a mid range supersports car for launch at the end of 2008 and a stunning high specification supercar that will enter production at the end of 2009.”

The new Lotus showroom will be located at 563-17, 1/F, Shinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 135- 891 and LK is currently finalising the opening of a Lotus service centre nearby at 68-6, Chungdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 135-954 to accommodate all Lotus owners.
