SHANGHAI, June 11, 2007; Reuters reported that Ford Motor Co.'s China venture is recalling 7,924 locally made cars because of potential problems with dynamos that might cause engines to stall, China's quality watchdog said on Monday.

The Mondeo sedans were produced by Changan Ford Mazda, a three-way tie-up between Ford, Chongqing Changan, and Mazda Motor Corp in southwest China between January 7, 2005 and December 15, 2006, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection Quarantine said on its Web site.

No accidents or personal injuries linked to the defect had been reported so far, it added.
