2007 Chrysler Jeep Superstores Detroit APBA Gold Cup Races Announced for July 13-15, 2007 on the Detroit River

DETROIT, June 7 -- Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick (R) and Chrysler Jeep Superstores Association President Jim Schebil announce the "2007 Chrysler Jeep Superstores Detroit APBA Gold Cup" unlimited hydroplane races July 13-15, 2007 on the Detroit River.

The Gold Cup is the oldest motor sports trophy in the world. The unlimited hydroplane boats skim on the top of the water covering a football field in less than one second at more than 200 MPH with 3,000 horsepower engines.
