Chrysler to Break Ground for New $730 million Phoenix Engine Plant

  - New engine plant part of $3 billion Chrysler Group "Powertrain

  - New V-6 engine to provide increased fuel efficiency

  What:     Chrysler Group will host a groundbreaking ceremony at the
            future site of the Company's V-6 Phoenix Engine Plant. The $730
            million plant is part of the Company's $3 billion "Powertrain
            Offensive." Chrysler and Trenton executives will discuss the
            positive economic and business impacts of this investment.

  Who:      Frank Ewasyshyn - Chrysler Group Executive Vice President -
             Manufacturing
            General Holiefield, UAW Vice President
            Jennifer Granholm - Governor, State of Michigan
            Robert Ficano - Wayne County Executive
            Gerald Brown - Mayor, City of Trenton

  When:     Wednesday, May 23, 2007, 2  p.m.

  Where:    2000 Van Horn Road.
            The groundbreaking is at the Southwest corner of the existing
            Trenton Engine Plant property on Van Horn Road between Fort
            Street and Jefferson.

  Details:  Chrysler Group executives and state and local officials will be
            available for interviews.

  Other:    Chrysler Group will not provide plant tours at this time.
