XM, the exclusive home to racing's biggest stars, today announced that it will provide coverage of five upcoming American Le Mans Series events, starting with the Utah Grand Prix on Saturday, May 19, on XM Sports Nation (XMSN), XM's 24-hour sports channel (XM 144).

XM's coverage will begin at Miller Motorsports Park near Salt Lake City for the Utah Grand Prix on Saturday, May 19, with a live broadcast of the race from 7:00-10:00 p.m. ET. John Hindhaugh, the voice of American Le Mans Radio, will provide turn-by-turn updates on the action.

In addition to the Utah Grand Prix, four future American Le Mans Series events will also be featured on XM Satellite Radio, including the Acura Sports Car Challenge of Mid-Ohio on July 21; Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix on September 1; Petit Le Mans on October 6; and Monterey Sports Car Championships on October 20.

"American Le Mans Series racing continues as one of the fastest-growing and most exciting forms of motorsports today," said Kevin Straley, vice president of talk programming, XM. "By providing fans with trackside access to the American Le Mans Series, in addition to our NASCAR programming and exclusive IndyCar Series coverage, XM is the perfect fit for anyone who loves motorsports as much as we do."

"XM Satellite Radio has been an integral part of the rapid growth in popularity of American Le Mans Series racing," said Series President and CEO Scott Atherton. "Our partnership gives the same technology-savvy, upwardly-mobile audience members who already listen to XM's other motorsports programming the chance to discover and enjoy the premium brand of motorsports."

XM also is the primary sponsor of the No. 26 Andretti Green Racing Acura ARX in LMP2. Bryan Herta, Dario Franchitti and Tony Kanaan drove the entry to a historic class win in the debut for Acura at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. All three drivers, in addition to IRL stars Danica Patrick and Marco Andretti, plus Andretti Green co-owner and IndyCar racing legend Michael Andretti, can be heard regularly on "The Andretti Green Racing Hour," which broadcasts on XMSN 144.

Corvette Racing also enjoys a partnership with XM Satellite Radio, which sponsors the team's two Corvette C6.Rs.

XM is the sports leader in satellite radio with more than 5,000 live sporting events a year, plus exclusive XM shows hosted by NASCAR champions Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Jimmie Johnson, baseball legend Cal Ripken, and Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski. In addition to live coverage of IndyCar Series races, XM airs Major League Baseball, college basketball and football, the PGA TOUR, the National Hockey League, and the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament. XM also carries the sports talk channels XM Sports Nation, ESPN Radio, ESPNews, and Fox Sports Radio.
