AutoMart.Com Teams up with Major League Baseball Alumni

TAMPA, Fla.--AutoMart.com, the Internets largest marketplace for new, used and certified vehicles available exclusively from dealerships, has partnered with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) to present the annual Baseball For Kids Weekend in Tampa, Florida from March 24-26. All proceeds from the event will benefit All Childrens Hospital in St. Petersburg.

A variety of activities are planned for the weekend, including a Celebrity Legends Game presented by AutoMart.com on Sunday, March 25 to include a home run derby, softball game, and the annual Legends of Baseball Game at Brighthouse Networks Field, spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies. Gates open at 5pm, and tickets can be purchased through the Philadelphia Phillies website or in person by visiting the Brighthouse Networks Field box office.

Several Baseball Hall of Fame members are scheduled to participate, including Tampa native Wade Boggs, Gary Carter, Bob Feller, Ferguson Jenkins, Jim Palmer, Gaylord Perry, and Robin Roberts. Additionally, perennial All-Stars Ken Griffey Sr, Goose Gossage, and Tommy John will join local and national celebrities including Tampa Bay Bucaneers running back Michael Pittman, Ace Young from American Idol Season 5, James Denton from Desperate Housewives, and country singer Daniel Lee Martin to raise awareness and funds for All Childrens Hospital.
