Formula TR PRO Series Opens Season

The 2007 Formula TR PRO Series with its Formula Renault 1600 and
Formula Renault 2000 Championships is set to begin the season this
weekend at California Speedway with rounds 1 & 2 of the 10 weekend,
20 race series.

The host for the weekend, the Vintage Auto Racing Association
(VARA), has made it quite special.  Formula TR will be part of the
Route 66 Classic Formula Festival with vintage CHAMP/Indy cars, over
100 Model A's and T's at the event along with VARA's special guest for
the weekend Al Unser Sr.

Formula TR is a driver development series that uses the world's largest
and longest lived development platform, the Formula Renault.  The
formula is stable and the safety is unprecedented.

Alumni of the Formula TR series include the rising stars of motor sport,
Marco Andretti, Michael McDowell, Brad Coleman, Colin Braun, Darryl
O'Young, Adrien Herberts and Adrian (Ace) Carrio.  This is a clear
demonstration that the concept of early driver development in a
competitive environment not only works but it works very well.

The series enjoys the sponsorship of Gatorz, precision tuned eyewear,
and Yokohama Tires.  The series is sanctioned by the National Auto
Sport Association, the fastest growing racing organization in the US.

Formula TR (Tatuus Renault) provides a development series for young
drivers progressing from karting into professional formula car racing as
early as age 14.  The series was established in 2002 and features both
1600cc and 2000cc carbon fiber open wheel chassis built by Tatuus
