PONTIAC, Mich., Feb. 15, 2007 -- Global consulting firm Frost & Sullivan has selected GuidePoint Systems(TM) as the top-ranked stolen vehicle tracking system in North America.

Guidepoint (www.guidepointsystems.com) said it has been chosen to receive Frost & Sullivan's 2007 North American Stolen Vehicle Tracking Best Bang for the Buck of the Year Award. The award recognizes Guidepoint as the #1 ranked product among more than a dozen of the leading North American original equipment (OE) and aftermarket suppliers of stolen vehicle tracking services that were considered for the honor.

To choose the recipient, Frost & Sullivan analysts track competitor features and prices within the industry by conducting interviews with all market participants and through extensive secondary research of proprietary data sources. Competitors are compared and ranked for relative position. Frost & Sullivan presents the award to the company that achieved the number one industry rank.

"Frost & Sullivan is pleased to recognize Guidepoint's ability to grow consistently, year after year, with the 2007 Best Bang for the Buck of the Year Award in stolen vehicle tracking systems," said Frost & Sullivan's Sathyanarayana K, research analyst. "We attribute this success to the company's service orientation, the positive relationships that it has built with dealers and distributors, and the unique hardware/software package that it offers to end-users."

Guidepoint integrates GPS satellite technology, advanced wireless, the Web and 24/7/365 response centers to deliver a variety of location-based services, including stolen vehicle recovery, driver safety and convenience, online tracking, and fleet management. Guidepoint is available at more than 1,000 new and pre-owned vehicle dealerships nationwide, as well as select specialty retail outlets and 12-volt stores.

In a report on the industry, Frost & Sullivan's analysts write: "The uniqueness of Guidepoint is designing a device that not only serves consumers and other end users, but also the car dealers, retailers, and distributors that sell the product. Guidepoint provides dealers and distributors a device that is easy to install and that can be reconfigured quickly and cost-effectively, based on market or customer demand ... The Guidepoint system stands unique among all competing devices, including original equipment and aftermarket products."
