EvoBus GmbH Names New CEO and President as well as Managing Director Sales

Harald Landmann was named the new CEO and President of EvoBus GmbH and head of DaimlerChrysler Buses

Holger Suffel was appointed Executive Managing Director Sales, Service & Parts of EvoBus GmbH and Vice President Sales, Service & Parts of DaimlerChrysler Buses

Stuttgart, Feb 09, 2007 Harald Landmann, 62, head of production at EvoBus GmbH, was named the new CEO and President of the company today by the Supervisory Board of EvoBus GmbH. Landmann, who had already been appointed provisional CEO in November 2006, has been working for DaimlerChrysler since 1980. He has held various positions in the company, including that of plant manager in Kassel. He has also worked in the planning department at the Gaggenau plant.

Landmann was named managing director of the Setra product division when EvoBus GmbH was established in 1995, and became head of EvoBus production in 1999. Since 2003 he has also been responsible for global production operations at DaimlerChrysler Buses.

Holger Suffel, 47, was appointed Executive Managing Director Sales, Service & Parts of EvoBus GmbH by the Supervisory Board on December 1, 2006.

After being trained as a toolmaker at the former Daimler-Benz AG, Suffel completed a course of study in industrial engineering at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences. He joined the Group in 1977 and in the years after 1985 worked as an engineer at the former Commercial Vehicles Division in areas ranging from development and pre-sales to marketing and service. Suffel has been head of the EvoBus Aftersales department since 2003.

DaimlerChrysler's global bus activities – with the brands Mercedes-Benz, Setra and Orion – are combined in the DaimlerChrysler Buses unit. DaimlerChrysler is the world market leader for buses with over eight tons GVW. The Group sold a total of 36,200 chassis and complete buses last year. EvoBus GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler.
